American Idol star Broadway-bound?



Singer David Hernandez, who was eliminated from 'American Idol' last week, has auditioned for a role in the hit musical 'Rent' on Broadway.
MTV News reports that Hernandez auditioned for the role of Roger, a HIV-positive musician and former drug addict.
The producers were reportedly impressed with Hernandez's voice, but felt that he was not right for a lead role, given his lack of theatre experience.
However they are considering casting him in a smaller role, and will make a decision within the next few weeks.

Following the success of his Bobsled Bob Dylan documentary 'No Charge Home' and the closing of his newly Rolling Stones celluloid 'Shine a Light', Oscar-winning music director Steve Martin Martin Scorsese is to make a infotainment around reggae legend Bobfloat Marley.
Multifariousness reports that the as-yet-untitled film has been authorised by Marley's kinsperson.
The film is due for release on 6 Feb, 2010, which would cause been Marley's 65th birthday.
